ONE Caribbean: A Collaborative Approach for Sustainable Development

One notable initiative is  ONE Caribbean, introduced by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in 2024. This strategic framework aims to address critical shared challenges in the region, such as climate adaptation, citizen security, private sector development, and food security. By leveraging relationships with governments, regional stakeholders, and the private sector, ONE Caribbean supports projects with high regional impact.

Regional Science and Innovation Agenda

In April 2024, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) held a conference in Bogotá, where delegates from 22 countries agreed on a regional cooperation agenda for science, technology, and innovation (STI). This agenda focuses on productivity, innovation, and export diversification, aiming to create new sectors and boost economic growth.
